International conference in Mexico makes a call to Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia regarding the Mecca Agreement

260 delegates from 101 parties from 39 countries approved a resolution expressed concern regarding the agreement and called the Turkish parliament to reject it.

At a meeting in Mexico, 260 delegates representing 101 political parties from around the world unanimously adopted a declaration opposing the Mecca Alliance. The declaration, initiated by Vatan Party representative at the meeting, Mehmet Perinçek, and jointly proposed by 11 parties, stated: “The Seminar calls on the Turkish Parliament not to become an instrument of American and Israeli plans, on Pakistan not to provide Saudi Arabia with military support against Yemen, and on Saudi Arabia to halt its attacks on Yemen.”

The 30th International Seminar “Parties and a New Society,” organized annually by Mexico’s Labour Party, a member of the country’s governing coalition, was held in Mexico City from October 8 to 10, 2026.

101 organization from 39 countries

The event brought together left-wing political parties from around the world. This year’s seminar was attended by 260 international delegates representing 101 organizations from 39 countries. Among the participants were representatives of ruling parties and government officials from countries including Iran, Cuba, China, Russia and Vietnam. Former Colombian President Gustavo Petro delivered the opening address, while Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez sent a video message to the meeting.

Vatan Party was the only political party from Türkiye to attend the Seminar. Representing the party, UWI author, historian and political scientist Associate Professor Mehmet Perinçek delivered a speech addressing global developments and proposing solutions to the challenges facing the world. At the center of his speech was the “Türkiye–Russia–China–Iran Alliance”, known in Türkiye as “TRÇİ”, the initials of the four countries in Turkish.

One of the important results of the Seminar was a call on Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the three members of the Mecca Alliance, not to become instruments of US and Israeli plans.

Unanimously adopted call

The declaration, drafted at the initiative of Associate Profesor Mehmet Perinçek, the representative of the Vatan Party at the Seminar, UWI author, historian and political scientist, was submitted to the delegates with the signatures of the following organizations: Vatan Party (Türkiye), Communist Party of Spain, Communist Party of Switzerland, Patriotic Encounter (Argentina), Evita Movement (Argentina), Latin American Left (Argentina), Revolutionary Workers’ Party of Argentina, Revolutionary Workers’ Party of Brazil, Revolutionary Party (Uruguay), People’s Party (Peru) and Free Peru Party.

The declaration was unanimously adopted by the delegates. The full text reads as follows:

Call by the 30th International Seminar “Parties and a New Society” to Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, October 10, 2026

“Iran and Yemen are today waging a heroic struggle against American imperialism and Israeli Zionism. This struggle is not being fought for their own sake alone. A victory for Iran and Yemen would provide the greatest support to Palestine’s resistance against the genocide in Gaza, Türkiye’s struggle against imperialist plans in the Eastern Mediterranean, the sovereignty of Latin American countries, Africa’s liberation from neocolonialism, and the defeat of Western imperialist plans in Ukraine and Taiwan. If Iran and Yemen win, we all win. Humanity wins!

“American imperialism and Israeli Zionism, having failed in their attacks against Iran and Yemen, are well aware of this reality. They are now attempting to bring Yemen, which they themselves have been unable to defeat, to its knees through Saudi Arabian attacks. In this context, the Mecca Joint Defense Treaty signed between Türkiye, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on August 7, 2026, and the subsequent decisions envisaging joint action against Yemen under this agreement, are being followed with concern.

“The 30th International Seminar ‘Parties and a New Society’ calls on the Turkish Parliament, which is expected to vote on this agreement in the coming days, not to become an instrument of American and Israeli plans; on Pakistan not to provide Saudi Arabia with military support against Yemen; and on Saudi Arabia to halt its attacks on Yemen.”

In his address to the Seminar, Mehmet Perinçek highlighted the collapse of the existing hegemony and the emergence of a new world. Emphasizing that the Seminar was taking place at a historic turning point, Perinçek said:

The collapse of the Atlantic order

“Our conference is taking place at a historic turning point. The time has come to discuss a new architecture for Eurasian cooperation.

“As Atlantic aggression intensifies, it is also hastening its own collapse. Our Seminar takes on even greater significance at a time when American imperialism and Israeli Zionism are cornered in the Strait of Hormuz and Yemen.

“The Atlantic era is over. A new world is being built, and this world is now multipolar. Their reckless aggression is, in fact, a reflection of the panic caused by this very reality. Attempts to preserve US hegemony are failing. This means the collapse of Washington’s international ambitions of being the ‘global policeman” in a unipolar world with ‘dollar hegemony.”

“Yemen’s victory is our victory”

Drawing attention to the opposing sides in conflicts and wars around the world, Perinçek said:

“The war against Iran and the conflict in Yemen are part of a much broader global confrontation. Ukraine, Taiwan, the Eastern Mediterranean, South America and Africa are all fronts in this confrontation. Thus, if Iran and Yemen win, we win too. Their victory is, in essence, our victory.

“Likewise, we regard Mexico’s and Latin America’s resistance to American imperialism and their struggles for sovereignty as our own struggle.

“Russia’s advance toward victory on the Ukrainian front, where it is fighting against the full might of the Atlantic powers, is also our common victory.”

The conference on Political Parties and a New Society, convened by the Labor Party of Mexico, brought together 260 delegates from 101 parties and organizations, coming from 39 different countries

Threats to Türkiye in the Eastern Mediterranean

Perinçek then emphasized the need for a “Türkiye–Russia–China–Iran Alliance” and called on all the parties attending the Seminar to support this initiative:

“We ask you to place your trust in Türkiye as well. We ask you to see Türkiye’s resistance to imperialist plans as part of your own resistance.

“Like Iran, Russia and South America, Türkiye faces threats from the Atlantic camp. The confrontation in the Eastern Mediterranean is no different from those in the Strait of Hormuz, Ukraine or Cuba. They want to encircle and strangle Türkiye. They want to implement in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus the same plans as in Crimea, Donbass and Venezuela. Just as the protection of the sovereignty of Cuba and Latin American countries, and the incorporation of Crimea and Donbass into Russia, have dealt blows to the Atlantic powers, the sovereignty of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is equally important for the security of the entire world.”

Common threats and common destiny

“In this respect, Türkiye is a natural ally in Eurasian cooperation. It is no longer possible to govern Türkiye by sticking to the Atlantic alliance. Türkiye needs Eurasia, and Eurasia needs Türkiye. And you will see Türkiye take its rightful place in Eurasia as a sovereign state.

“Our problems are common, the threats we face are common, our destinies are also common. Our responses to these problems and threats should also be common too.

“The major powers of Eurasia, particularly Türkiye, Russia, China and Iran, must unite with the revolutionary and progressive countries of South America and Africa.

“Our countries and we ourselves bear an enormous responsibility. We must work together to build an alliance bringing together Türkiye, Russia, China and Iran, in cooperation with South America and Africa.

“I would like to emphasize one point in particular: The security of our nations, and indeed the security of the entire world, will be ensured not only through the principle of indivisible security, but also by mutually strengthening one another’s security. When Türkiye strengthens its own security, it also strengthens Russia’s security. Russia’s security, in turn, strengthens China’s security. If Iran is in danger, Türkiye is also in danger. The security of Mexico, Cuba and Venezuela is also the security of the Türkiye–Russia–China–Iran Alliance. The security, prosperity and development of these countries reinforce one another.”

“We will prevent a world war”

“Only then, we will be able to deal a decisive blow to those who dream of global hegemony. Only then, we will be able to deal the final blow to the warmongers in Europe. Only then, we will be able to stop the genocide in Palestine. Only then, we will be able to protect Cuba and Venezuela.

“Only then, we will be able to prevent a world war. Only then, we will be able to protect our nations, our families and our future, shielding our civilization from the decay of liberalism.

“And only then, we will be able to bring peace, stability and development to the world and build a more just international order.

“This is not an impossible dream. It has political, economic and military foundations. The Atlantic camp is disintegrating, retreating and weakening across all regions. In contrast, a vibrant and humane civilization is rising in Eurasia.

“All we need is the will and strategy. This gathering is an expression of that will. And our strategy must be to build a Türkiye–Russia–China–Iran Alliance in cooperation with South America and Africa.”
